Tightening could be something really in China, because I also was 2 months after I got last packet.

    Hi Béla,

Thank you for the link, the new delivery ship is impressive ;-)

We do have some problem with China customs recently, shipping time
takes much longer than it was, for Russian custoners, they may wait
for more than two months now. We are so sorry for this. The situation
is improving now. We are having holidays for Chinese lunar new year
from Feb. 7 to Feb. 17.
    Happy the year of snake!
    Bela,

I hope that you passed along to your friend how much I love their site and their personal service, and not me just whining about delivery times! If it takes that time to get here, well; so be it. A lot of places sell tea. They sell great tea, and; GREAT SERVICE! I have emailed Jan more than a few times and trust what is said. The waiting is just part of it for me, the tea is always worth the wait!!

Speaking of waiting, just wait till you see the Gaiwan I ordered from them! Well, I should say, Gaiwans. I couldn't decide between two of them, so I ordered both!!

Cheers to you and all others around who enjoy tea and tea drinking!!!! Don V

A cautionary note on Samovars:Hey guys, just some helpful insight into Samovars.I am glad I have sparked some small interest in Samovars. They're wonderful things, and with some luck I may own one someday. Just do a lot of research before buying a Samovar.I know the fuel burner types are appealling, but just be wary of how they were comstructed or restored. And as like razors...be skeptical on prices and materials. I will say this..for an apartment dweller or urban dweller, unless you have a balcony, get an electric. True you will not get the smokiness(they really are like comparing grills if ya think about it)but you won't burn down the house either.Now.... if you are a strange but friendly Ausrailian fella from nowhere in particular(Brisbane/Redcliff) and you work and sometimes hangout on some random farm in the bush and say yer name rymes with.......wick (like as in a brilliant candle).......a fuel burning samovar would be just the ticket for all day hot tea drinking. P.S.....If using an electric samover, you can get a smokey flavored tea from kusmi, for flavor and effect...Russian tea - Discover a wide range of russian teas in our shop

Actually that bloke who acts like a and whose name sounds like d!ck, and who lives with a foot in the city and a (the biggest) foot in the country, would probably go for one of these Combined samovars

It's said the best things in life are free, so unless someone makes a gift of it or I go and steal one, it just ain't gonna happen. I could probably ring up a double boiler st up with a couple of billy cans, say a tall skinny soup can soldered to the inside bottom of a big juice tin. Punch a few holes around the top rim of the tall soup can that sticks out above the juice can. Sort out a little brass tap to attach to the bottom sidewall and bang up a wire handle. Punch a hole in the bottom of the soup/juice can for a draw hole for the fire, water goes in the fruit can, bits of wood/coal goes in the middle in the soup can. Light it and bobs yer aunty. Just sit tea pot on the top of the soup can to keep the tea warm Does that sound like an Aussie Samovar or what?!

Well it beats my idea for an electric Billy can. Make billy can. Attach two copper wires to billy can (they can share the holes punched in the sidewalls for the wire handle of the billy can) put other ends into power socket holes, throw switch. Be sure to turn off at wall before touching billy. May also inadvertantly burn your house down or electricute any unwary curious cats in the house...It has some draw backs I guess, but it's just a thought .

mick, around these parts we would (ok, maybe just me) call that necked, not just red necked. when something is necked, it goes above and beyond what would be done by your average red neck. kinda the best way to describe necked is when you see someone jack up and slap wide racing tires on the rear end of a front wheel drive car. but if you make it, send one my way for the proper red neck tea drinker testing.
