been fighting that bone type cold all day, not that its as cold here as other places (nosey) but i have spent much of the last 18 to 20 hours in temps not above freezing, and that sets in quite solid it feels. enjoying a nice pot of sadaf with cardamom. just wish i could enjoy a pipe while i was at it, but i can't have everything, and im sitting beside the woodstove, i almost forgot to mention

I see we be likin' the Oolong!! That oughta keep you taste testing for quite a while! I notice they sometimes throw in a sample with an order. That's what got me on the milk Oolong, a sample of it. The loose Pu-erh, is it raw or ripe? I almost ordered some loose ripe on my last order, but needed to check with some on this thread first. If it has the same flavours as the pressed ripe, I'd like to try it. So, I guess that's a question for the tea drinkers, is the ripe loose tea like the pressed ripe Pu-erh in flavour??? Bela?

Yes, the Oolong is nice, I like.

As for the pu-erh, here is the description from their website:

Full fermented ripe tea. Stunning red liquor, good clarity, sweet, silky, woody forest taste. The aroma is distinct with an earthy undertone. The taste is smooth with a prominent initial flavor and the aftertaste is slightly sweet which lingers.

Hope you get better soon my friend. I think you need a scone or a biscuit of some sort to go with that tea. I'm sure that will help ...or.....at least it'll taste good.

So after watching that video on samovars,I start watching videos about russian caviar and food. The craving for smoked fish and dill and such came over me....here is the result.....Tea: Kusmi Bouquet De Fleurs No.108 in the Podstakkanik. Open faced sourdough toast with smoked herring and Marmite and smoked herring and mayo with dill. Orange marmalade for a palet cleanser and a nice touch of sweet to compliment the savory.
