The taste and aroma is great, everything I like in a pu-erh. It is from 2006, and if anything, the age has mellowed it a bit. But, not to the degree of a loss of flavor, just that the flavor is more subdued. I'm thinking of getting a couple more just to put away for a few more years to see how that will affect them, if nothing else, I have nothing to lose as it tastes great now.

I went into the Twinnings shop on the Strand, earlier, to find a decent loose leaf to make chai with (I'm getting right into that, now, plus I've been using teabags so far and wonder if loose would work better). First of all, that shop is great—you can pretty much go in there and have free cups of tea! Secondly, I was looking for an assam but was recommended a Chinese yunnan. I tried both (without milk) and the yunnan was, indeed a bit stronger with a more robust flavour, so I settled on that. Except I left my bank card in the office!
On the bright side, I'll go back in on Tuesday and I'll get more free tea!
Also, while I was there, I was flicking through a small book of tea tips, and I commented on one, which was to brew a mint teabag in milk and then add your hot chocolate powder (mint flavour hot chocolate!) The girl who was making my tea gave me a couple of orange & cinnamon teabags and said to brew in just enough water to cover the bag and then mix it in to a hot chocolate (made with milk). I think I might try that later on!

Thanked: 2I prefer tea over coffee.... But i prefer tea not tea bags. Darjeelings being my favorites. Hard to find. But i go over to Indian shops to get them. But unfortunately there are so little options, i just miss jumping around from one type of tea to another, like i used to when i was in India. I prefer leaves rather than CTC. And NOOOO, i don't like flavored tea! Tea is best when its in its natural form.
