Fruit tea: Taking a lesson from the Russians and the Middle east, I find by taking a good British Black tea which is usually good blends of Ceylon,Kenya and Assam teas and mixing a 3 or 4 to 1 ratio of black to herb tea(fruit flavor of choice), I get a nice robust eye opening fruit tea that is relatively unspoiled by artificial flavorings of any sort. and the flavorings have a wide range. So far I have used Celestial seasonings brand Tangerine Zinger,Lemon Zinger, Mint Magic, Apple Cinnamon spice and Berry Zinger all with good result. Usually Celestial seasonings is fairly natural stuff so I do recommend them . They all work equally wonderful when turning the hot tea to Iced . In fact the Mint is a real treat on a hot day . Throw some sliced Strawberries into that or Rasberries......I get carried away with this stuff heh.

Default Since I'm on a roll here ............

Some awesome ice cream Ideas for those days when maybe Iced tea is a better idea. 1.)Vanilla ice cream topped with fine chopped bacon, caramel sauce(just use the smuckers store bought kind) and crushed pecans...that with the sweet Mint tea(think Julep) and Y'all are sittin pretty. Next 2.) Vanilla Ice cream topped with Sweet hot chile sauce (a good asian style) and maybe some fine shredded basil with maybe some nice Green or Oolong tea on the side (maybe a good Milk Oolong) hot or iced and you got a nice Asian summer tea ! Next......... 3.) Vanilla Ice cream topped with a little fresh Mango and some Mango Chutney or a little Cinnamon and Cardamom with Hot or chilled Chai tea on the side...oh very good Sahib !.........Enjoy Fellas

Olav my friend................being someone who was never able to appreciate licorice flavor..I salute you. You either like it or you don't I have found. One of the residents at the condo where I work loves licorice so whenever I see some I pick it up for him. I'll never understand it though.

Licorice, preferable black and salt, is something that Swedes tend to miss when living abroad. So this tea has to work as a substitute
This tea is a nice mix of licorice root, star anise, cinnamon, orange rind, and some other things that I don't remember now.

Yes, I'm living here since 1995.
In the early years there where small foil wrapped cubes, covered with red and yellow paper, of Russian samovar tea for sale everywhere, but nowadays I can't find it anymore. Now it is all Akbar and Ahmad, and green tea of course.
I wished I had bought a brick of tea back then, they came with the hammer and sickle symbol of Soviet union pressed in,in the surface. Now there is mostly green brick tea from China. Low quality raw pu'erh, I think. Lots of twigs and stuff in them.
Traditional Mongol tea is cooked with milk and salt, think stock or broth for the flavour. The strange thing is that it taste bad if there isn't enough salt in it.
It is great when you get it in a ger/yurt out in the countryside.
