First off that is extremely interseting and it is too bad you missed out on the tea bricks. That would have been quite the collectors item. This is good tea info indeed. Being that I am a bit of a Rusophile I am curious. Are samovars used much in your neck of the woods still ? or is it pase' now ? I have consider getting an electric samovar off and on but I'm not convinced it would be too practical at this time.

Samovars where much more common before when the Russian (Soviet) influence was much stronger. I am afraid most of them met an untimely death during the 90's when many things were thrown away or remade in to more necessary items.
We have a nice samovar (made in CCCP) that we bought on a Swedish auction site! and a couple dinged up ones that is from my wife's family.
Since it basically is a water boiler/kettle the modern ones are much more in demand.
I don't think you can find samovars in the shops here anymore.
Hindsight is 20/20 they say, and I wish that I had made an effort to collect podstakanniks and stuff back in the 90's, on the other hand my friends think that I pack ratted enough as it is

Ah... I do have a podstakannik which I got from Amazon. It is the genuine deal too, made from the Kolchugino factory in Russia.I still have the box. I love it and use it often. I agree though that as beautiful as a samovar is,I like my Polish teapot just fine and it makes great tea and enough. The Tula factory still makes samovars, so who knows...maybe someday I'll get one. Geeze Olave...where the Heck have you been all my life... Mongolia ?!......Oh wait a minute !

Thanks for the link. There are so many *ADs
I've been looking on eBay on and off for a while, but shipping here is a killer.
A Russian friend of mine, that used to live here, might help me to get one, but they are not that cheap in Russia either.

Double bergamot Earl Grey, I liked this one even though I never been keen on Earl Grey.
The Orange Spice was not to my liking, but that is matter of taste not quality.
I'm not sponsored by STASH in any way, it's just that the cafe' where I work just bought 14 different kinds of their teas.
