As far as I know, the wrappers are more often than not the same year after year from the factory. I have seen some slight color variations thoogh. There should be stamps on the wrapper indicating the year and the quality, but this was not common before humm, 2005 as far as I can remember? There might be a note in the cake itself, perhaps that contains some info. Anyways, if there is no production year on it, chances are it is a high quality tea - let us know!

Thanks for the info.
No note imbedded it the cake itself. The only thing on the wrapper that was specifying was the words: First grade.
I have just sniffed the cake so far and it has a fresh hay like aroma. Not that my nose is that good, but...

Good Afternoon everybody
Just bought some of my favorites today.
Jasmine Chung Hao
Chinese Milky Oolong
And Grand Yunnan Imperial, bio and non-bio.
The next week will be a G.Y.I. bio vs non-bio test. I can’t feel any difference when smelling.
As for the TOTM, this is Keemun Mao Feng:

I also bought some tea today:
Milky Oolong and Formosa Oolong.
This is the formosa, light brown, somewhat smokey, rich and full, with a somewhat tangy aftertaste. I never had this one before, I might get used to it. If not, I believe there are two nice new puerh tuo cha cakes waiting for me at the post office
