TOTM
Last nights tea. Internet was really slow so I couldn't post until now.
That pu erh I got the other week in a YiXing.
First brew had a strong hay flavour, almost like yerba mate, but spicier. Third brew more mellow with a long nice sweet aftertaste.
Will continue to brew today and see how it tastes. One of the good things with Mongolia is that its so dry here that one almost have to make an effort to get things to mold
That pot is 400 ml, a bit on the big side. Trying to find smaller pots. Not that easy on a tight budget.

Thanked: 1160Tonight it's Good strong black British tea with milk n sugar. Kielbasa sandwiches on San Francisco sourdough(the real deal)The mustard turned out fabulous. It was very hot at first, but now after a few more hours, it's got the perfect bite and a beautiful red hue to it from the paprika. Goes very well with the tea indeed. Spring rain n snow coming in and yet my apartment is bleeding hot ??? Cheers and good tea you guys !

Thanks Steph. Right after I poured that into my travel cup, makes for easier carry with crutches, I got a text from my daughter in Biggs, her and my son live with their Grandmother four miles North of me. Her text told me that there was a house fire in Biggs. The North wind was tearing stuff up here today, 20 to 30mph with gusts over 40. I asked her if it was North of them, yes, and it was getting really smokey. Well, I drove up and the fire was straight up wind of them, but up two blocks. I stayed there till things were OK, at one point a fireman came by and asked us to watch for spot fires because the wind was carrying embers a long way. Once the fire trucks started to leave and the smoke started to clear, I opened my travel cup and it was the best darn tea I've had in weeks. Sadly a family of four lost their home, but they all got out OK. Below is a picture my daughter sent me, you can see why I was a bit concerned.
Enjoying that cup of tea on the way home, I realized, yeah, my leg is effed up, my insurance is canceled, I owe the hospital, BUT, my dog and I are driving home to a home that's still there. I'm doing just fine.....

So, that mustard mellowed out some more, awesome!! You know how people from different parts of the country, when away from home, bitch about some type of food from their area that they can't get anymore. New Yorkers, well, they bitch about everything, but for food, it's pizza. Other places have their own can't get here items. I think for me, it would have to be San Francisco sourdough bread. I've NEVER found it made anywhere else that tastes right, what other places call sourdough just isn't. I know that one place down there has been using the same yeast since they started before the 1900's. They even had a guy brave the fires in "1906" to get the yeast from the bakery as not to lose it.
I'm a mustard junkie, big time. And it goes so good with any meat, AND on good sourdough..... a meal fit for a king.Silence is Golden, but duct tape is Silver.
