Seagulls, AKA-sky carp. I went clamming with my brother once, we were eating oysters with hot sauce. We were coating small pieces of bread with hot sauce and throwing them to the gulls. They would swarm on it, spit it out, but they are so greedy, they would pick it back up so the others couldn't get it. Funny as heck! It didn't matter that it burned them, they had to keep it away from the others. I've never tried it, but, has anyone tried giving them Alka Seltzer??

The weekend is here, it's been my first week back to work after my summer vacation, and I'm relaxing with a new tea:
2007 Xiaguan Bao Yan Tibetian Flame
Manufactured by the Xiaguan Tea Factory
I bought a pack of bricks, this is what it came like
Tea brick:
Glossy, dense brick, without individual wrapper. Has a nice fresh pu odor, strong and inviting.
I did not hesitate, with my trusted pu knife I attacked the brick. This thing is tightly packed!
Color: Dark yellow broth
Aroma: Meadows, fern and forest, fresh and clean, with a hint of sweetness and a slight floral edge.
Taste: Decent mouthfeel, clear puerh taste, mellow and smooth, fairly light. Mouth watering, thirst quenching. Very pleasant, if not the most exiting puerh.
Aftertaste: Medium lasting, semi sweet aftertaste with just a hint of bitterness. Very pleasant.
I fell for this tea by the description from the seller: "a bloody cheap young pu, but the taste is not like young pu at all". His description continued "sweet, thick, rich in aroma, woody and tobacco flavor, with a bright yellow broth". I found the ad very refreshing, so I gave it a shot. I am glad I did, I am largely in agreement with him. Good job, because I bought around 3 lb of the stuff
Coincidentially, this tea is also used by the people of Tibet, Xinjiang and Mongolia for brewing their traditional Yak butter tea. I won't be making any of that anytime soon, but I sure do enjoy it brewed in the regular puerh tradition.
I also picked up another tuo from the mail today, I could not resist snapping a picture, although I did not sample it yet so all I can reveal is that it smells very promising.

I usually make iced tea in the fridge overnight. I just add a few teabags in cold water and stick it in the fridge. Next day I add some sweetener and lemon or lime. Simple as can be. My favourite ice tea is milky oolong, but I also got a very nice turkish tea that is exellent.
