Thanked: 993Well....not so much a grill, but here we go anyway.
I built this last summer at the cottage. It's 42 square feet, with 3" flagstone on the bottom. Both the initial layer of flag and the top stones are level to within an 1/8" in any direction. The spit supports are inside 1/2" pipe, sunk into the ground to prevent movement, and threaded with caps for the offseason. Here's a pic of the "grill" and then later in the season with "some meat". For an idea of size, that's me sitting IN the pit while a fire is starting.
Aw yeah....three weeks to go until I can put a lamb on it.

Man, I just have to get a BGE. Grilled a pork loin on the Weber last night. Got plans for a couple of Boston Butts and perhaps a brisket this coming weekend. Those will be on the Brinkman smoker.
