The holidays are coming...it's time for The Dalmore 15 yr.old. It's a nice fruity, spicy, Highland malt. Perfect while waiting for some snow later this week.
I'm tempted to buy a glenfarclas 15 year old soon. Anyone have thoughts on this?
Glenfarclas is at the top of my list to try, along with Aberlour A'bunadh. I tried to order Glenfarclas through my local store but the distributor doesn't carry the brand. I'm hoping to try Glenfarclas at a restaurant that specializes in whiskey when we visit the in-laws over the holidays.
I've previously had bottles of the 10 year old, 12 year old and 105 and each was great for different reasons. 15 is still reasonably priced, so I think it could be next.
That Quarter Cask is one of my favorite Islays, and cheaper than many older ones like Lava 16 or Uigedail. I love the way it sweetens up and reveals all kinds of other flavors with an ice cube or two. I need to get a bottle for the holidays.Quote:
