This place is BAD in a good way.....since being on SRP....I took up pipe smoking and drinking Scotch and now into wicked good teas.... Go figure !!!!

I've been enjoying the Highland single malt from Grangestone, a captive bottling offered by TotalWine. Good stuff, lighter and smoother than some of the other Highland malts I've had, but not as light and sweet as Speyside whiskys. Just a hint of peat/smoke at the end.

Lagavulin is a favorite for me too, the 10yo or QC.
Right now I'm enjoying a glass of Auchentoshan 12 yo, very smooth and nice!Hur Svenska stålet biter kom låt oss pröfva på.

I"m going to throw this one out there. It is so nice and simple to drink. Even better here in Ontario I still count it as inexpensive at 40 bucks.

I lived on the isle of Skye for 8 months so have a soft spot for Talisker 18, just the smell brings great memories.

Hey all,
i had the opportunity to try this mythological bourbon recently at a whiskey bar here in NYC. The scent, taste and finish of this Kentucky bourbon is by far the best bourbon I have tasted (and I've tasted too many bourbons). So I've been looking to purchase a bottle, but it would be easier to find a NOS Heljestrand 134 for $50. Seriously, after about 10 hours of research the only place I could find it was a distributor in Australia that wanted $875 (AU) plus shipping for a bottle that has a US MSRP of $80.
If any of you bourbon fans happen to get lucky and find a bottle or a restaurant/bar that does, I highly recommend try this one of a kind bourbon.Mcbladescar likes this.
