Johnny Walker Black tonight, though the other night I located a local bar that keeps a Macallan 24 in the back... far to expensive for my wallet but I did spring for one glass.

    I like my friends.

Another had a whisky night last night and although I was driving and so only really tasting, this was a heck of a selection to choose from. Not pictured is my 15yo Glenlivet French Oak Reserve that I donated to the cause. It was interesting to compare it to the 12yo: those three years were well spent. Abunadh remains my favourite, but I'd now have to add Caol Ila to my shortlist. That was lovely stuff.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I'm partial to Glenlivet. Smooth stuff. Is the company still under French ownership?

Yup, I think it (along with a HUGE number of other brands) is owned by Pernod Ricard.
