I've never done the bourbon trail so not sure how they handle things in Kentucky. But we toured several of the dozens of malt whiskey distilleries in the Scottish Highlands a couple of summers ago. The DUI laws are MUCH more stringent in Scotland-more than 1 drink can put you over the limit there depending on weight. What they all seem to do is to provide a "driver's pack" of small mini's for paying guests on their tours. Fortunately, my wife doesn't like scotch, so I got my tasting and then got her driver's pack later, so it worked out double for me!

If I ever get back to Kentucky, I might have to stop in at a few.

my wife doesn't drink so I get everything, and she can drive, but when we are riding our bikes we just get on the van tours Tc

went to this amazing whiskey bar called Canon here in Seattle last night. Has a neat pour of W.L. Weller 12 year, such a good bourbon!

I'm settling down to some Ardmore Legacy and beginning season two of Frontier on Netflix. The lower bottle is a supermarket labeled single malt. I'll have to give it another try and report back.

I think it's supposed to be a donkey, but since I'm in Missouri I've declared it a mule.

Well I've not had any and at the price point I,m probably not gonna, because of most of the reviews. It came from the Heaven Hill distillery before the fire. They do make fine bourbons there, I mean who doesn't like Elijah Craig? But an average of 900$ a bottle, when it was introduced at 150$! It name may say it all, it's overpriced for the quality. Just my opinion on it from reviews, if I ever find a bar that sells by the shot I'll try it, but to spend that kind of money on a strong oak taste that's kinda middle of the road on under notes. I'll but Pappy,s. Being 26 years old it should be smooth and full of flavors, I think they messed p and it should have been in used casks. But I,m thinking they originally didn't plan on the age. Cool label and bottle though. Tc
