Well got it going and am beginning the learning curve.
Here's a shot of the first shot I pulled
I think I have to adjust my pressure on the pressing and possibly keep adjusting the micro adjustment on the grind.
This is a 49-50mm basket, so I can't find a pre-callibrated tamper that clicks or has a set point for the proper pressure
I'll get this.....Look sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz

How is the taste? Starting out, get the taste you want. Crema and the fancy stuff will come with time.

Thanked: 37I see your Chemex hiding in the corner. You cannot beat the simplicity and elegance of the Chemex, or the excellent brew a simple pour over creates.
Just as with straight razors, coffee roasting, grinding and brewing can be a gigantic rabbit hole where one can throw copious amounts of money. But oh my goodness, a wonderful cup of coffee is quite a way to start the day or end a meal.

It tasted pretty spot on to me and the wife. So I"m just trying to figure out the primary details in proper amounts.
I agree, the Chemex does make a fine cup, and we enjoy it daily. As well as the siphon/vacuum pot. Did I mention we love coffee here
And yes this is a giant rabbit hole, jumped in both feet and am happy I did!!
Enjoying some of the best coffee I've ever hadLook sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz
