    I'll second that. My second after shaving usage today (SoTD) and I'm liking it. The mild citric scent was refreshing and pared well with Krokos soap. My face a couple hours later feels great. Don't feel the need to come back for a second application.

    Before using as after shave (it arrived a couple days ago) I used it to help recover from my last overly aggressive shave with great results. It is on the oily side but my skin soaks it right up. A little goes a long way.

    My wife and I are not a fans of scents but we like this one.

    Em's balm. Get the unscented. This one is the best I've used yet.

    I make my own post shave balm. I melt (microwave) equal parts coconut oil and Shea butter (I make small batches...so I only use maybe 1 Tbsp. of each) and then add two or three drops of vegetable glycerine...then pour this into a container with a lid and let it solidify. You can also add in a few drops of your favourite EO if you want a scent. I use a small dab post shave, let it melt from the heat of my hands, rub it in and presto, no more dry skin. This is particularly nice in winter when my skin is dry.

    Penhaligons Opus balm was my favorite , they stopped producing it.

    Now I use Xpec balm.

    I prefer the thick type as opposed to the thin milky type..

    I like your creativity. Great suggestion. I make my own aftershave so your idea is intriguing. Thanks!

    As you can see from the posts, there are many "best" post-shave moisturizers.

    I have tried some of them. Nivea or L'oreal are good all-around ones to use. My go-to ones (work best for me) are:
    * Somerset's (from UK)
    * Myrosol Milk
    * Trumper Skin Food

    Bulldog is my favourite for performance. It has a slight fresh herbs fragrance. Not quite as nice smelling as the Baume.be but better on my skin and way cheaper.

    Baume.be ! It also happens to be the nicest smelling one imo.
