Rinse the blade, dry it with a towel and strop it 10 times on linen. Rinse the brush and use the brush to wipe the sink clean. Then use the wet brush to cleanse my face. Apply A/S balm.

My pre- and post-shave rituals
Pre-shave:
1. Shower
2. Glycerin/baking Soda application to beard (2 minutes)
3. Stephan's Conditioning shave creme (2 minutes)
4. Strop razor (30 laps webbed fabric, 50 laps leather...SRD Bridle Premium IV)
5. Make lather (NancyBoy, GFT, TOBS, other) and keep brush and lather warm in electric water heater
6. Wash off Stephan's creme
7. Lather (nice and warm)
8. Shave
Post-shave:
1. Clean & dry razor...store open in dry, non-humid place and put in display box (with Silica gel packets).
2. Wash face with warm water..."dissolves" and washes the stuff out
3. Wash face with cold water
4. Apply Thayers Witch Hazel to whole face (not just shaved areas)
5. Apply NancyBoy replenishing aftershave
Optional:
6. Apply favorite AS balm (I don't use alcohol at any stage)
7. Apply GFT skin food
8. Sometimes I put NancyBoy replenishing face moisturizer (unbelievable stuff) to top things off.
Cheers,
-Robert

Note the activities between each skin treatment. This is to allow the skin or product to dry before moving on to the next application. Works for me.
