After rinsing Razor, Brush, and Scuttle I use Cold water on face and neck. Double check for missed spots, then after 15 min or so, I apply Mario Badescu's Aloe Vera Toner which I keep in my Fridge.

Guilty! I showed my GF this weekend and asked her to "feel my face" like five times. She did and just laughed! She's a sport.

My routine is a simple one:

    1) after finishing the shave rinse the blade thoroughly with hot water and dry it with the tip of a towel; then place the razor on a soft surface and leave it to dry
    2) rinse the face with cold water until no lather is left and my face is... well... cold and wet
    3) rub an allum block over my face and... live to learn another day!
    4) dry my face
    5) splash some Old Spice
    6) go away!!! and make up for the 45 minutes of my morning that flew away...

Apply the remaining MWF lather on the brush to my face.
Rinse & dry the blade, and pat the insides of the scales dry.
Strop 20 strokes on the Hess hair milk linen.
Rinse brush & dry by "lathering" a towel.
Cold, soaking wet washcloth to wipe the lather off my face.
    Speick after shave splash.
    Put the straight away.

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Ok... I've been shaving for over 40 years... going on 3 months straight razor. What is with the Witch Hazel and Alum Block??

I've been cold water splash, pat dry for all this time. My skin is allergic to many chemicals... especially my face, so I have to be careful what I put on it.

What do these two things do for your face after a shave? I will check them out to see if I am able to apply them to my face.
