    1. Put razor in room to begin drying
    2. Clean up left over lather with a towel
    3. Splash of cold water
    4. Put on Proraso aftershave (not sure the best way to do this... usually just dampen the hands then rub it around)
    5. Clean/dry the brush/mug
    6. Apply Thayer's Witch Hazel (like the aftershave, I'm a little unsure how to apply this, I feel it's hard to get enough to the face without too much extra just dripping into the sink)
    7. Brush/floss/listerine/deodorant/clean ears/return shaving products to shelf
    8. Using a q-tip, apply mineral oil to blade
    9. Apply Nivea post-shave moisterizer

Just wondering if anyone had similar/different post-shave rituals. Thanks!
shouldnt the witch hazel go on first then apply proraso after its dried , I jus splash the WHazel on like any aftershave pour some between hands then slap it on all over face an neck finish off with some alchol free balm

Rinse and dry razor - set on counter
Apply cold water to face (I don't splash, its messy)
Rinse brush and lather bowl - set aside (brush in stand)
    Apply witch hazel
    Apply aftershave of choice
Close razor and put in case

    Done.

    Default Post-shave Ritual

    Gentlemen:

After the shave, I rinse the lather off with lukewarm water, apply alum block, rinse with cold water about a minute or so later, apply aftershave balm and, finally, apply aftershave.

Then I rinse the razor in hot water, thoroughly dry it, strop it 15 strokes on linen or fabric, 25 on leather, apply a light coat of camellia oil and leave the razor partly open on the counter before putting it away in the rack a couple hours later.

And then I clean up after myself, because my Mama always told me to be a good boy and do that.

    Regards,
    Obie

    1. Rinse face with cold water.
    2. Apply alum.
    3. Clean brush, flick off water in shower, put back in holder.
    4. Clean bowls, dry and leave them out for 2 hours.
    5. Rinse razor, wipe, rinse, wipe again and let it sit for 2 hours.
    6. Put away shaving cream.
    7. Dry off alum block, put away.
    8. Shower again.
    9. Put on Skin Food/Corn Huskers for 15-20 min.
    10. Rinse off Skin Food/Corn Huskers, apply aftershave.
    11. Drink coffee.
    12. Put everything else away.

After my shave I use Alum Block, Splash and Balm in that order. As for clean up, I rinse out the brush (and bowl if I used one) and then strop the razor for about 10-20 laps.

    hmmmm

depends b4 shower or after shower treatment.....

    B4:

*Open bathroom window to get nice breeze as lights above make me sweat a little too much!..lol
*Scrub face with dove moisturizing soap
*wash off and strop 10-20 laps on 1 of my 3 blades of choice
    (intuition based)
*Fill shave scuttle with hot water n a random half finger full of tube paste
(again intuition based on what I really want to use)
*Rinse badger brush with light water rinse n lather brush in bowl!
*Smile at the feeling of uber warm lather n nice creme or soap scent..mmmmm

    After Shower
*All steps above except scrubbing face in beginning ;-)

I clean my razor, wipe off my face with a wet hot or cold wash cloth (depending on if it's a hot or cold shave), apply my astringant, clean and dry my brush while my face dries, apply my balm, clean my bowl, and then I'm out.

    1. wipe razor dry.
    2. few passes on strop.
    3. check to see that it's dry again.
    4. put it away.
    5. slap on some aftershave.
    6. get on with my life.
