Argan oil
Hello gentlemen,
just wondering who is using in this forum argan oil as a post shave and before after shave. I find it to be great (for my skin) giving a smooth result within minutes.
I usually apply 4-5 drops of argan oil and wait for it to be completely absorbed by the skin, usually taking two or three minutes.
This is what I usually do: rinse my face with cold water soon after shaving, then, with both palms wet, I pour four or five drops of argan oil in one hand, rub both hands in order to have the oil equally distributed in both palms, then gently rub the mixture of oil and water in my face and neck.
I usually wait for three or four minutes - the time it takes to clean the razor, wash the bowl and brush - and then, finally, use the after shave.
To me, the result is amazing: smooth skin with the added benefit of using a good skin care oil.

Thanked: 13245I ended up with a small Bottle of this when the Wife bought it for her hair, thinking it was as good as her Moroccan oil, I guess it wasn't as it ended up in the "Shave den" and there is a hugely expensive bottle of the Moraccan oil in her bathroom
I use it on my hair, especially after a fresh hair cut, instead of Pinaud Hair Gel sometimes, as it gives a very light hold without stiffness perfect for outdoors activities.. I have not thought of using it as a Pre-shave...

Quality of argan oil is fundamental (as well as for any other oil, including olive oil). Sometimes they sell you a bottle of argan oil although it is not argan oil at all. Most of the time it is mixed with jojoba oil (cheaper) and definitely not the same thing.
When you get argan oil (and olive oil) make sure it is 100% of the real stuff. And this is not always what you get although you can read "argan oil" in the bottle.

Definitely not. Argan oil is produced by crushing argan pits, that is the pits of Argania spinosa's fruits.
