    I tried the st Ives scrub its good stuff .. I feel so clean and relaxed after using it..

    I believe Si is right, not something you want to use everyday. I would think baking soda would wear tooth enamel down also, not a good thing. Gum recession is no joke, you want to keep your pearly whites as long as you can. Although gum recession happens naturally, brushing your teeth too hard will do it also. How do I know this........my wife worked for a dentist......and my tooth brush is always flared out like a used shave brush, my kids even tell me I brush my teeth to hard, old habits.....
