Nor should you overlook the Palmolive shaving sticks.

I know.. I know.. but there is just so much software that I can use...

    Right now, I have...

Menthol Monday & Face Freeze Friday
    - Arko Mint
    - Lea Menthol
    - CO Bigelow/Proraso
    - Mama Bears, Iceberg Iced and Awakenings
    - Vostock
    - Tom's of Maine Mint (one open tube, one open tub and seven backup)
    - Proraso Reg, spiked with Menthol crystals
(I have a jar of Menthol crystals for spiking just about anything!! Plus two bottles of glycerin, one spiked and one not, to add as needed)

    Fat Tuesday
    - Mitchell's Wool Fat, puck & stick

And for the rest of the time..
    - Trumpers Lime, Rose & Eucris
    - Czeck & Speick #88
    - Bath House Spanish Fig & Nutmeg
    - Arko Stick (one open in a twist up and five or six backups)
    - Speick Stick in a twist up
    - Kells Original in Citrus Energy and Black Tea
    - VDH Dlx
    - TBS Maca Root
    - i Coliniali, Mango (unopened)
    - Palmolive Stick (unopened)
    - AoS
    - MdC
    - Mike's Natural in Lemon Grass & Eucalyptus and Barbershop scents
    - Valobra
    - Lea Stick
    - P.160 Tipo Morbido (one open and three backup)
    - Cella in a twist up stick form
    - LaToya Manintiales (one open and two backup)
    - EJ Sea Buck Thorne
    - Kiehl's Lite Flight
    - Jack Black
    - eShave Lime
    - Vito's Super Coconut

I am sure I missing more than a couple... By some standards I have a lot, but my inventory is dwarfed by many. Some tend to dry down a little quicker, and are more suited to DE shaves, which I still enjoy from time to time...

Sorry for hijacking.. back to the regularly scheduled programming...

I'm fairly new to MWF. I have a lot of experience with Tabac soap, Classic Shaving, Trumpers and Proraso cream. So far I'm getting better lather with MWF than I've ever got with any of the formers on a consistent basis. It is true that if you use too much water then it will fail but that's an easy fix that can be done at the same shave.

I like to shake my soaked brush (I use very soft brushes) very well and soak the MWF while in the shower. I think grating is unnecessary in order to get good lather but helpful when you want your soap bowl to be filled edge to edge. Then I load the brush for about 30 seconds then build lather in a lathering bowl adding little amounts of hot water to the brush as needed (sometimes I don't need to add any extra water). What's cool about this soap is that if you are using too much water you will know it right away. Just shake your brush and reload some more and then rebuild a proper lather. I get enough thick lather with MWF in usually half the time of any other soap or cream I've tried.

Where MWF really stands out though is after the shave in how smooth and settled down it makes you skin feel. Besides the cushioning it really reduces the chance of after shave irritation and dryness. It begins to cover aftershave balm territory in what it does for you. This, in my opinion, is what all the fuss is about on this soap.

Just don't compare it to Martin de Candre....two vastly different soaps
