    Default Proraso shaving soap

    Hi,
I'm new to straight razor shaving and was wondering if I could get any feedback on Proraso shaving soap which comes in a bowl. I can pick it up from my local drug store for about 10 bucks. Has anybody used it?

    Hey man,
I got mine from shoppers drug mart too and I use it almost every day I shave....I LOVE it. It has such a nice cooling menthol in it and is among the greatest smelling soaps out there in my opinion....cheers

    Thumbs up

Good stuff. I have some tubes of the cream and they both function as designed. The italian soap version is a softer soap, but it's more than likely a better buy than the cream (both come in 5+ ounce containers). If you like the smell then you'll probably end up liking it.

I buy mine from local Italian markets in Ottawa, I've seen it in every Italian market I've been in for around $5. They also often have Omega soap and brushes. Might be worth checking out if you know of one close by. Prorasso is a wonderful Italian soap that creates thick, rich, protective lather and has a wonderful cooling menthol kick, if a big menthol hit is not your thing I would recommend the white tub (sensitive), it has less menthol and no eucaliptus it also contains aloe and green tea, or the Omega shaving soap if you find an Italian market.Either way IMO you can't go wrong with a Proraso product. Keeping in mind YMMV.

I use both the Proraso Cream, and the Proraso Green soap. Both are excellent. Great feeling, excellent lather.

If I've only time to lather once (usually weekdays), it's my go-to soap.

On the weekends it rests and the Queen Charlotte comes out.

It's also very easy to lather and lasts forever, especially for such a soft soap. I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and it's still going strong!

It's the only shaving cream I use. Works great, and as mentioned above, it lasts forever.

Got my tube a while ago.... went to shoppers didn't have it! Then went to Bath and Body Works they had it but branded CO Bigalow but still Prosaro paid $12 for it. Went to Shopper the next day to buy shampoo they had a whole line of Prosaro shaving products, Omega brushes, pre shave oils the works… and the cream was $8 a tube. If you ask me this is BS and bad timing…J
