You guys use mirrors when you shave?
Just kidding, I usually wait until the fog goes away, i don't normally shave right out of the shower.

I've used almost all of the techniques above, except the shave gel on the mirror. Never tried that.
However, the fan on, and the open door (Dogs just love to watch) seems to be the simplest cure for me. I crack the window, open the door and leave the fan running. By the time I have some lather made, the mirror is clear..
Best always!!

Thanked: 275I vote for the Rain-X. It works very well on windshields; should keep fog off mirrors, too.
What I do:
. . . Two swipes with the shower squeegee on the mirror gives me a clear area for shaving.

Thanked: 46the people who make Rain-X also make one called Fog-X that goes on the inside of your windshield. I've used products like it that you use on the inside of your motorcycle helmet visor to prevent fogging, so I'd assume it would work for this as well. They're basically the same as wiping a tiny drop of dish washing detergent on the glass and wiping it around with a clean cloth.

I've had really good luck with a small space heater on the counter, pointed at the mirror (about 2 ft from the mirror). The trick is to turn it on before the mirror starts fogging. Keeps mine fog-free, even on the heater's lowest setting.

I have used Fog-X on mirrors, windshields (windscreens for our UK friends), and safety glasses. They work for a while but the coating catches crud rather quickly. I once tested some stuff in the lab which repelled water like a magnet. Wish I could get my hands on some of that stuff...

BlowDrier/ HairDrier works great. Haven't needed to do that though, since I started showering and shaving with cold water.

Thanked: 275I've just tested Rain-X on my bathroom mirror:
. . . The area treated with Rain-X has _worse fog_ than the rest of the mirror.
DO NOT use Rain-X as an anti-fog treatment.
