You can buy systems that heat up the mirror from behind, so it doesn't fog up

After using rain-x years ago on my car windows I found it does an exceptional job in dealing with fog. Since then I have used it a handful of times on my bathroom mirrors and have noticed it lasts several months at a time. I would recommend it for both your bathroom mirrors and your car windows.

What Works for me is to open the window closest to the extraction fan and clean the mirror using paper towel and cloudy ammonia every now and then, which is really cheap to buy.
