Thanked: 29What Cologne do you use?
Just curious what everyone's opinion on the best colognes are. I like a "manly" scent but not necessarily something classic. Personally I use RL Polo Black a lot. I also like cool water(kinda out the "water" scent mode lately though). I'm fond of Gucci by Gucci as well but haven't splurged yet on that one. The Polo Black is pretty fruity on the top but the dry down is very rich and full. I notice when my wife hugs me when I have it on she sort of lingers a bit longer than usual. I would love to pack my shelf with scents that do this.
What does everyone else use and why?

I find many of the Department store brands end up smelling the same in one way or another. I like the English houses:
TOBS No. 74 Limes
Floris Sandalwood
Floris Vetiver
Floris Limes
Penhaligons Quercus
Penhaligons English Fern
Penhaligons Blenheim Buquet
Penhaligons Racquets
I love Tabac. I like Dominica Bay Rum products and the Royall line is very good. Pinaud Clubman or Aqua Velva now and then to keep things real.

Thanked: 3795Because of my work I have to avoid them, but when I do use one, it's usually Eternity. A close friend of mine who died several years ago used to wear it and it still reminds me of him. More importantly, my wife likes it.

I were Abercrombie & Fitch "FIERCE". I get allot of woman asking what I'm wearing because they like it so much.

today I'm wearing Floris Sandalwood
some of my other favorites are
Floris: Vetiver, 89, original gentlemen's cologne
Dyptique Tam Dao
Czech&Speake 88
Knize 10
Penhaligon's: Blenheim Bouquet, English Fern, Lords, somtimes castile
Gucci pour homme
Santa Maria Novella - 4-5 of them actually
Creed private reserve tabarome
Tom Ford private reserve amber
Castle Forbes Lonasch
Roger&Gallat green tea
Dunhill 1934
Hermes un jardin sur le nil
and I'm probably missing quite a few more
I used to like more modern stuff like d&g (how can you not like it if a girl is all over it) but my tastes have changed a bit.

Thanked: 155I don't use cologne. The use of "manly scent" and cologne in the same sentance constitutes an oxymoron.
