Thanked: 0Old Spice
I tried some of the more expensive stuff that you can get at macys and the like and it's not really worth it.
I use Old Spice A/S the stuff in the white bottles that your dad's used when you were about 6.
Why? because it's the one that I get the most compliments on, of course the ladies are a bit turned off when I tell them what it is but hey, it works.
I guess I've always wanted to use some of the Casswell-Massey stuff though, see how that works, I rather like sandalwood.

In tropical climates: Tiffany's Sport Cologne.
In cold, mountain climates: Antaeus by Chanel.

Thanked: 8metaylor, Caswell-Massey has two excellent but very different sandalwoods. Tricorn is Bangalore sandalwood, slighty herbal, some say medicinal. Very deep and rich. I love it. The C-M Sandalwood is a soft, sweet take on Mysore, easy to wear and rich.
I wear a lot of different colognes. I admit to becoming a junkie for scents when my money went to those instead of straights. I mostly wear vetivers, fougeres, and sandalwoods. Bay rum is a new obsession for me. My favorite five colognes right now:
Floris Vetiver*
Hermes Equipage
Geoffrey Beene Bowling Green*
Yves St. Laurent Live Jazz
Taylor of Old Bond St. Mr. Taylor
*why must the good ones be discontinued?
Regards,
Tim

I agree Tim. I have also found that some A/S's or colognes become available just regionally here in the States, or only in certain countries. Three reasons comes to mind. Shipping costs including taxes and tarrifs, Sales not working out, or politics. I suppose a fourth might be that peoples tastes change. Curious though, that a product like Old Spice remains one of the highest selling brands, and that Jovan Musk is still sold. I have both on my dresser. Someone gave me a travel size bottle of the Musk last year, but it never was a favorite. I just dust the bottle now and again.
I have returned to Bay Rum, and the many varieties of it, after a few years break. Including Old Spice they should become the only ones I wear. Now, if I could only tell people not to give me colognes I don't wear or ask for, then my dresser wouldn't have all these little bottles. Arrg!Last edited by Redbeard; 06-23-2009 at 09:00 PM.

Thanked: 6I use a couple of different ones. My everyday cologne, which is what I wear to work etc., is Aeropostale Sport. It's cheap and it smells decent. You can get it on sale off and on for like 10 bucks a bottle. For my nice cologne, and what I wear on date night or things of that nature, I wear Romance Silver by Ralph Lauren. It's awesome, and it never fails to loosen my wifes panties. Neither one clashes with my aftershave, which is Stephans 320. It all works out nicely, and it helps combat my phobia of having BO. It's a win win combo if you ask me.
