On the weekend I will often shower with the Geo. F. Trumper Almond Oil Soap and go without cologne. Wonderful scent and lasts all day on me.Last edited by T-Ram; 06-29-2009 at 07:32 PM.

I'm fairly chemically sensitive. Rather than wearing colognes I will usually rub some pure essential oil or oils under my arms which I use as a deodorant.
Bergamot
Sandalwood
Frankincense
Cedar wood
I'll blend them a few drops of this or that as I see fit.
Colognes on myself or others in any significant concentration give me the sensation that I can not only smell them, but that I can taste them too. I don't like the taste of cologne.

Thanked: 190No aftershave. Just water based facial skin cream for sensitive skins and I usually will water it down a little before applying. I work in sales and you need to smell neutral as others may have reactions to strong smells.
When socializing with a mixed crowd and I think a social scent is in order, I spray a little lavender mist on myself. Its the same product I used to spray my kids butt after changing a stinky mess when they were small. This product is inexpensive and a very pleasing/accepting scent to others.

What Cologne
Gentlemen,
Since I try not to distinguish between cologne and aftershave, the following is my regular and permanent rotation:
Spanish Leather by Trumper
Spanish Leather by Truefitt & Hill
Woods of Windsor
No. 6 by Caswell-Massey
Tabac
The following fragrances are also on my shave counter; however, I use them only when in the mood:
Taylor of Old Bond Street Victoria Lime No. 74
Brummel (until I finish the bottle)
Pashana (until I finish the bottle)
Agua Lavana, Puig
Proraso splash (until I finish the bottle)
Vetiver de Puig (until I finish the bottle)
Spanish Floid (until I finish the bottle)
Pinaud: Clubman
Oh, well . . .
Regards,
Obie

All-time favorite and daily goto is Perry Ellis (original scent), my wife loves it and I get lots of compliments when wearing it. Others:
Tiffany for Men
Halston z-14 (dad used to wear, brings back lots of memories)
Obsession (though rarely use anymore)

No question here. I use Bay Rum almost exclusively. Either from Lucky Tiger, Pinaud, or a company called C.A. Traders. I have all three.
I have a few more that I use sometimes, just to be different once in a while. But I am pretty picky.
Pinaud Special Reserve
Pinaud Classic Vanilla
Pinaud Lime Sec
Pinaud Classic Blue
Clubman
Lilac Vegetal
My preference is for classic lotions, reminicent of the days when Men's Clubs flourished. When they had real barbers, and not 'Hair-Stylists'.

Thanked: 2My interest in scents took a huge boost when I got into wet-shaving. I had never even heard of the Three T's or any of the niche houses. Its got to be a cultural thing. Here in the Midwest, application of scented products could earn one an instant "girly-man" label. I'm glad I got past that!
Now, I've come to appreciate the number of fine scents available. I think a lot of what gives them a bad rap is the guy (you've all met him) who goes about literally drenched in whatever cologne he chooses. I once had a co-worker who literally announced his entrance into a room....and he never left even though he was physically out of the building. I've also had co-workers who apparently viewed cologne (usually generic) as a substitute for daily applications of soap and water.
