Married and lovin' it
Oh yeah, I forgot about SWMBO (my Gosh don't tell her that).
Maybe that explains the occassional gift of different scents.

Am I the only one?
Yes, this stuff belongs in everyones cabinet. I used it as a young man and thought it smelled great. Its scent reminds me of that long spent youth, and locker-room colognes. I bought some recently.
But, honestly, I think it smells cheap and is almost offensively strong...compared to some of the things I've purchased, mostly upon advice given here at SRP.
Now, I do go for cheap and strong. I use the Osage Rub in my diurnal post shaves. Like the Pinaud, it gives good sting; unlike the Pinaud, it fades completely away in minutes allowing use of a really refined, wonderful, unique scent that makes women drool (maybe its just the women with whom I keep company).
Viva la diference. Nice to have choices. J

Thanked: 363I must submit AS purchase requests in writing to the wife. If approved they may be purchased and used at her discretion under direct supervision. Failure to comply results in administrative segregation and the prompt removal of contraband.
Cheers

Thanked: 1It's way too strong for me. I tried it a couple of time and it is just overpowering. I like something a little more subtle. I like the burn though.

I noticed everyone is saying whether or not they like "Clubman AS" but some guys aren't saying which scent. I figure you all mean the regular Clubman, but has anyone tried all the scents? There are 6 AS scents, and some I like, one I don't and some I haven't tried... It's tough since they aren't in most stores and you have to break that seal to smell 'em first. According to the label it's illegal to do that.

I think the they mean the better the shave the less burn from the AS. I just got a bottle two weeks ago and I have to say that it simply reminds me of the barber shop when I was a kid. In two seconds it took me right back to a shop in my home town, where old men smoked, cussed, and looked at playboy magizine as they waited for a cut and trim. I cant stop using it, and the wife says that I smell of baby powder. I think it's great old timey stuff. And dude, it's six bucks. I am not a cheap skate by any means, but, it smells good, and feels good. I am 37, and the only risk is smelling like a grandpa; but, this is not the case at all. Buy some, if you hate it throw it out. Yeah splash some on and remember when barber shops were still around.
