    I am also french (french-canadian that is) -> I'll add 2 things:

    1 - It's more "Pee-no". Don't stretch the "no", that sound has to stay short.
    2 - Don't forget to put an intonation on the "Pee", make it stand out, give that sound some importance.

    Normally english speaking people will pronounce a quick, weak "Pee" followed by a long "know", Kind of like "Pee- K N O W". Try a quick strong "PEE" followed by a short "NO" - > "PEE-NO"

    Have fun trying to pronounce it & hope you get it right, or just click here:

    Default Pronunciation of Pinaud

    Gentlemen:

    I pronounce Pinaud, that warm and fragrant nectar of old-time barbershops, PEE-no.

    Regards,

    But that would be wrong !!!

    But then again, I guess what counts is that you get the right aftershave when you ask for it.

    +1 that is what the label says ...... I haven't heard pee-no since I was being toilet trained.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
