    Bad news just arrived; the MOP scales were badly cracked as Matt was tightening the hinge pin prior to shipping. The good news is the razor is still mine, I just have to pick another set of scales, with mammoth ivory or mammoth bark. It's not the same, but not much anyone can do about it.

    Dan that is quite unfortunate. I would go for the ivory personally.

    All aesthetics. I just think it is a very nice product. I do a lot of my razors in bone, the next best to mammoth ivory.
