The bark is not as nice from where my point of view. Not to say it is not nice, just not my first pick.

Going through the act of posting them together has convinced me that you are right, the Ivory is a better looking choice. That's guys for your help.

Hi everyone. Here are my two newest editions to my Wade and Butcher collection. Below is my second Ivory tang/scales W&B. I found online and hunted down(took about a week) the owner cause he had it at such a low price!

And the next one is one that I was very excited about adding to my collection. eBay made some mistakes in my favor and I was able to get this razor at such a low price it would blow people's minds! It absolutely blew my mind to where I didn't even think it was true at first.

+1 on that. I would go with the ivory. I have done some nice ones in bone also but if you have ivory available, I would go for that.

Now that looks really gorgeous there Doc. I love it! I have one I made some bleached bone scales for & it is in here but quite a ways back but I made the scales very thin but strong like ivory & it has a brass wedge. When I first made the scales they were too thick so I kept making them as thin as I could, retaining the strength in them. The blade has an old steamship on it. It turned out a lot nicer than I expected.

Mammoth Ivory added a serious level of class to that razor.

Not that any W&B isn't classy enough to start with
