I forgot to say Roy (cudarunner) helped me clean up and hone the thumb notch blade.
I was having trouble getting an edge on it and he also cleaned it up too. Sorry Roy, my bad.Freddie

I recently got a W&B razor so I have Wade & Butcher on the brain. And... Bessie Smith sings about the brand:
Right around 2:15 in this video she is talking about a man who has been mistreating her, and she says that if she catches him, among other things she will "take my Wade & Butcher, cut him two in two."
Apparently a lot of people who didn't know better heard this as "wedding butcher" but historians of the blues have corrected this error in recent years.
Anyway, if you should happen to be a hateful man, you might want to avoid a woman who has a Wade & Butcher.
