but if it gets pulled apart it gets the full treatment as I only want to do it once

Is there a good way to date W&B razors? I picked up several last weekend at the Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana. Pictures to follow as soon as I get them all sorted out!

1830-37 square point. The scales are wood from a French razor, added to the blade recently.

Hello Ya'll. Just got my first W&B. Like every previous poster, I'm gonna scour the internets trying to date this one. No blade etching I can discern through the patina. The scales, to my limited knowledge, appear to be horn. It's the embellishments that are new to me. Anyone seen these before?

It is a pre 1891 or it would say Sheffield, England on it. That would be a nice one to restore. I have one just like it or similar.

I have at least four Wade & Butcher razors. None of them real pretty but ALL good shavers.
