Yeah, I know. Many of them were but I believe the much older ones had more of a chance at being real.

They don't have to be all shiny & what not. I don't think they're ugly. I like the vintage look to a lot of them & I also like to see some that have been restored & polished up, probably for the better. You might be able to fix the cracked scales if you can get the glue off whatever it is & fix 'em right. On those that have cracked at the wedge pin, I will carefully glue the scales back together & also glue the wedge to that scaled to reinforce it when pinning it back to keep it from cracking again. I have done it successfully several times & actually saved the old horn scales. I glued some bakelite scales back together with CA once & sanded them back out & you couldn't even see where they had been broken. I let 'em sit a day & put some pressure to it as if I were trying to break it with moderate pressure & they held so I left 'em that way. Just thought I'd share that with ya.

Hi, I want to share a short story of my life. My grandfather was a professional butcher and my father became also a butcher. Now, I am 26 years old, I inherited our meat shop.

Wait can we go back to this epic piece of craftsmanship. So BOSS!
I love the stamp on the side of the blade and the jimps on the bottom. I haven't seen many like this.
    Very classy.

I had a bout of antimaterialism and this one was sold, unfortunately. Usually you see these that just have the tang stamp without the maker due to everything else being ground off.

Another 7/8 near wedge in Camel bone and horn wedge. I did nothing to the blade other than a bit of Maas .

Smokin! That's a nice one, original scales and a big FBU - life is complete! Very nice!

How do you like it, what's your take on the shave with that particular one?
