Hi! I ordered this razor today at ebay.
Can anyone tell if this is bad or good buy? Has read some about quality differens between old and newer razors but guess this is newer one.
Importent for me is the NOS and never honed but I'm just curious about this one.
Look at the case, last pic if that will tell.

I can't tell you if it's a good buy. If you're happy with what you paid, I'd say yes!!

I have an EPBD #13 which is one of my favorite razors. It's the same quality as yours, but it has been honed.

Yours looks to be a 14 by the pics, but just guessing. The 13's are the sweet spot for me, and that's nothing against the 14. They are excellent razors, and you're going to love it I expect.

    Congrats, and Enjoy that Razor!!

If you use it long enough, someday it may be a 13.

I have a #14 Novodur Para Profesionales, and that wide and that thin of a grind just doesn't play nice with my face. I can use it, but I much prefer the 13.

I'm sure their are a bunch here that prefer it just the opposite, hope you end up being one of them. They really are a great razor!!

I love Filarmonica's they are great razors and great shavers, I've owned quite a few 14 and 13 restored quite a few and honed quite a few and sold a few, I still have two 14 both 8/8 in mint condition I would never sell them and are certainly some of the best shavers I own.

    Birnando and Tjarven like this.

Each Filly is a different razor and only the owner/user can tell you if it's a good one or not. By and large, they are all fairly decent and there are rarely if any bad ones. I've had 4 and all 4 have been good shavers.

It is a rare read when someone has a bad experience with a Filarmonica. If you've never owned one, get one.
