Every time this one shows up in my rotation it becomes my favorite again.

Thanked: 5I hope you guys don't mind me linking to my thread in the Razors forum about my Solingen straight. Maybe some of you might know more about this manufacturer, or give some pointers on how to preserve it properly...

Thanked: 0I, too, would appreciate any info on this Es-Ese Famous Razor. I know the blade is Solingen German, 3118 Wald. But have no idea of the manufacturer, value, etc. I grabbed a 4/8" from Don that suits my needs and this was baught before I found Don's. This is, I believe, a 5/8".
The box is mint and has asian writing on one side and The Famous Es-ese Razor 3118 German on the other. The blades has been honed, but is very clean. On the baclstrap there are what look like black hairs. I know what pitting, etc. looks like and that's not what these look like. Any idea? I tried to get a clean picture of them, but Macro isn't getting it done

I bought a boxed set of two, one with black scales and the other in white, yet haven't found any info on them either. I've been looking off and on for a few months now. If anything ever comes up I'll post it here. Thats a great looking blade!

Excuse my heretic idea: would you be positively inclined towards opening a new club solely dedicated to works of Herr Wacker?
His razors deserve it.
Die Wackerfans sind immer bereit!
