A pox upon the exchange rates!
    You can say that again!
I'm planning to join this group in a few weeks w/ an SRP razor. I'll post a proper entry after a shave.

Shaved today with my entry into this club: SRP LE #197

It needed minimal honing to become shave-ready. A standard treatment on my Belgian combo stone and 50 passes on leather did the trick. It has the "pivot pin slightly crooked in the scales" problem, but it's nothing too severe. Lynn's signature on the back of the blade is "truncated", though: "Lynn Ab..." and it fades away where the machine didn't finish etching. I normally wouldn't care too much since they're hand made, but this is a limited razor--it would've been nice to have the full signature on it!

The Shave: virtually zero resistance; the hairs popped loudly, but it went through my barbed wire beard like it almost wasn't there! Probably the most comfortable str8 shave I've ever had! A liberal splash of bay rum barely stung--that stuff never lets me get away with inattention! I think I'm officially a TI convert--expect to see many more French razors in my rotation as soon as I get the funds!

My LeGrelot Special Coiffeur No. 52.....not a TI but since TI has been distributing the remaining LeGrelot blades since they closed their doors.....here it is! A great shaver, purchased from English....

Just arrived, my new B&B Limited Edition LeGrelot in Pink Ivory. A heavy blade, not exactly what I usually go for, but a nice shaver and quite a looker!!

I suppose I'll join with the same blade. Seriously, the single heaviest blade I have ever picked up.

The LeGrelots, vintage and new are all awesome shavers that take a very fine edge!

Just had a go with my Grelot 1/4 grind this morning....quite nice!

come on gentlemen step right up, step right up. A troubling situation has arrived in the razor club and that is the use of thumbnail pictures. I know that some of you old timers still remember when the razor clubs were a thing of beauty! with large glossy pictures of razors and we viewed until our hearts content. but those days are through it would seem. I beseech all the members of the razor clubs to take the poll in the general section and vote to restore large pictures to our beloved razor clubs. It is up to us gent and together we can restore these clubs to there former glory!!!!!!
