I have one of those Engstrom framebacks in ivory scales and its a super shaver. Cuts nice n easy with limited flex like a wedge, but with the agility of a hollow grind - best of both worlds.
That steel keeps an edge for about 30 + shaves too.

So what's the deal w/ the frameback?
Some long-time veterans seem to think they're great. Is it the unusual looks? Is it the shave? How would you describe their shave characteristics?
