You are very right about the 3000, they are very similar in dimension and I've been told the 3000 by an older member of the TSR forum in the UK who was a Blade grinder who once worked for Taylors of Sheffield, that the 3000 was one of the very last razors they made, and they actually tried to make a better razor and more balanced by lengthening the tang & tail while slightly shortening the blade, and I must admit I really think they were onto something, because It certainly as great balance and feel to the razor, and is without doubt one of my favorites.

I just ordered 2 of these NOS full hollow "XXX" Three X, 717, 21 and 22 mm blade width. For Barber's Use. Finest Silver Steel Registered. Highest Standard. Found in an old barber shop in Japan.

Has anyone heard of these or have one. Are they definitely made in Japan?

Another Iwasaki Kamisori, Size 1 (50mm). Nothing new to anyone here (at least on pics) but I nevertheless welcome the chance to show mine off which arrived today fresh from Denmark (Thanks, Maksim!)
