    Default Torrey Team!

Did I overlook a Torrey club? I didn't see one as of yet. Well, if there is, please move this thread. If not.....let's show off another great brand born in the USA.

Here's my contribution. I've never seen another razor that had such an ingenious and very effective razor lock incorporated in the scales. It works so well you really do need to pinch the blade in that thumbnotch that's cut out of the scales by the toe and unclick the blade from the scales. When done, the blade rests back in the scales with a nice "click". I can't wait to hone it up. I think I'll leave the patina for now. Beautiful grind BTW:

I have three now, I'll try and get some pics up when I get back to town Friday. My first razor (yet to be cleaned up) is a Torrey that my great-great uncle used. it's only about a 5/8 but man its heavy!

My Torrey, a 5/8 french point, heavy blade. The picture doesn't show the french point very well.

Nice Torrey, love the motif on the face, don’t see many of those.
Had one like that, excellent shaver, real beauty… but in a bout of madness, I sold her .

    Default Red's Torreys

Here they are guys. I shaved with the pearl tang this morning, great shave. very satisfying. the 1406 was a Christmas gift from my father-in-law. not too enthused about it, seems too small for my hand. Last one was first razor I owned, still not restored.

This one is pretty hefty, thick at the spine, but probably only 5/8"

I'm guessing this as a 1/4 grind? almost wedge? very interested in seeing how it shaves. seems little hone wear considering I know my great-great uncle that owned it only shaved with straights.

This double concave has a spike point as opposed to Big Red's French point.

I'm in as soon as this one is restored:

It belonged to my great grandfather.
