Several have the 1/4 hol. spanish points and the stosser wedge, so no need to post those. 'Would love to hear how Bladerunner likes his wikinger wedge. I'm betting its sweet. Here's a large worked back hollow I used today. The size took some getting used to, but its smooth as heck after some time on the stones, and seems to be a vegetarian - no carnage w/ this big smoothy. 15/16 hollow

Mod. 4
Here is my Mod. 4! At first I was not impressed with this blade. Gave it a quick touch up on the nani 12k and now it might be my smoothest shaver. Don't mind the oil on the blade.

'Makes me very happy to hear, Bones. By all that's right, it should be a winner. I still like the 1/4 hol. a tad better, but the stosser is #2 #3 is harder -between the monster wacker above and the plain jane Genco fluid steel. I hope that Stosser puts a smile on your face for years.

Anyone ever use one of the Anno 1890s?
I did a search on the blade, and one result was in the profile of a forum member jhenry. I sent IM asking about the blade.
What I'm curious about is - is the actual shave that good with it? or Is the price strictly the pedigree (latest dating supposedly confirmed by the blade museum guys in soligen as 1890 - hence the name), or pride of ownership of the historic blade. The price ($400+) is up there w/ some of the lesser customs from Robert Williams. It seems like something to be duly proud of for it's historic value, but I want to know if the shave is any better than his $250 blades?

I dont own any high cost razors but i would be very surprised if they were a quantum leap from any bog standard Solingen, Sheffield etc and those shave really well
If you need to justify the cost, on that basis, then you'll be disappointed as thats not the point, how they shave, but the aesthetics and appreciation of the craftsmanship involved you dont just pay for the steel and horn, acrylic, etc
