Just got this NOS Dorko 1217 in 8/8ths, with laminated abalone/acrylic scales by Robert Williams, thanks to John Crowley at ShavingShop.com. I've been reading about and admiring Dorkos since I started straight shaving, and was finally able to get one. This one certainly lives up to that reputation, really a fantastic shaver with wonderful smoothness, workmanship, and heft.

Help: Dating these Dorkos?
Can you help date this 7-Day Set?
The front of the tang says "Dorko" & "Soligen", with nothing on the reverse of the tang.
The inlay on the scales says "Dorko Registered".
The decoration applied to the blade face includes the <Dorko-in-diamond> logo and "Luxe" written in circles on each side of the center Dorko symbol.
The scales are interesting but, (unless Dorko had subsidiary razor companies under it's umbrella), are not unique to Dorko. Much better pictures of the scales on this set are pictured on an Estas razor here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...tml#post159730.
Any idea when these were produced? Any info appreciated, thanks!

Butterscotch beauty
I'm long overdue in posting a razor in this fine club!
Just recently I received this from the US, and I just love it.
A 15/16 round point in butterscotch scales.
It sure shaves the part too

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
