My Dorkos
Here are some pictures of mine.
This one is my best shaver at the moment; a Snakewood scaled Dorko 346 8/8.
It came from a german guy stated as NOS and I believe him. It's got an edge...
Here's the one I won on Ebay of "this Italian guy" that people around here seem to know. It was pricy, but hopefully worth it. It's underway and I can't wait to put it to the test. A NOS Dorko 5/8 with original box and instruction.
Of course, I started reading lots and lots and with the experience of the 8/8 mentioned above and the heaps of good stories about Mr. Wacker I also couldn't help it and ordered this one from the "Koordenwinkel" in Antwerp, Belgium. That should arrive early next week... Can't wait. A Wacker-Dorko 7/8 with the old-style blade with red celluloid scales.
If people are interested I'll post my experiences with these blades. And no, I'm not that rich, just maxed out on the credit card and haven't told the wife yet. SSShhhhhhhh! i guess the virus really got me...
I reckon that if, or rather when, she finds out, I'll wind up selling my Breitling.

Thanked: 2I've noticed quite a few of these on eBay recently. What's the average price I should pay for a NOS Dorko WWII vintage razor?

Thanked: 2Thanks for the input jcsixx. I'll keep that price range in mind. A 7/8 sounds like what I'm looking for.

Dorko 173
My first Dorko. Not sure of the age. Have the orginal case; which is well worn.
Case Reads "Dorko Solingen No 173 Best Silver Steel".
13/16, full hollow, blade needs polished and honed.

It looks similar to mine except the blade has the wash cleaned off it. Best I can tell, mine is early 40's, NOS when I got it but I had to use it. Honed by Lynn and shaves like butter! Looks like a nice blade in good shape with some use. wish it had a few more pics on it.
