About steel.
I never saw such patina on the stainless steel.
But, it's only my experience.
Maybe I'm wrong.

P.S. But according years of company work. I don't think, it's stainless steel.

I beg to differ..AJ Jordan was an expert cutlery maker and was asked to try his luck at making str8 razors..my box and blade says Mass on it

Yes. I saw this razor.
This razor was made by A.T. Jordan for A.J. Jordan.
A.T. Jordan used the trademark "Old Faithful", and he was in Sheffield.
And he was in business 1880 - (1919).

P.S. I couldn't find info about A.J. Jordan as a razor maker.

Slightly off topic but relevant to the current conversation. NOTE: I am not discussing Pcad's razor here.

You're absolutely right, stainless steel will rust.
But stainless steel don't have the same patina.

Hey well I'm new to the site and newish to straight shaving (I learnt to shave with a straight and did for a few years but thats over 20 years ago now)

However I have bought a couple of Sheffields to go along with the pair of Dovo Bismarcks that I ordered.

I figured I would post thme here for you guys to critique, hopefully I haven't bought a complete load of old tat!

I like the rattler - I was eyeing it up actually. Neil Miller looks like he does excellent work. In fact I have a friend, member of this forum who has his restorations done by Neil. As I say great work. It seems like he does a really great finish on old horn scales too. Enjoy!
