That is a beauty for sure! Revisor may be one of the best unsung razors there are!

I received this razor today, and I just finished shaving with it. What a beautiful blade! Out of curiosity about the shave-readiness, I didn't even strop it before shaving, and it gave quite a nice shave - I have just a little bit of irritation on my neck. I'm sure that won't happen after stropping next time.

I can't wait for my next shave!

In my experience, Revisors need honing when you receive them. Things may have changed since the last time I bought one. And if yours is shaving well that's great. Examine it carefully though because you may have an opportunity to improve its performance greatly. You want to get the most out of it.

Which brings us back to the old discussion about what exactly constitutes "shave readiness". I own "a few" Revisoren, and I found all of them shave ready. No exceptions.

There is a reason for that, too. Revisoren are finished on natural hones (cf the interview with Thomas on straightrazormagazine.com). If, however, you prefer the edges off unnatural hones, you can always take your new Revisor and chase it across one of these any time. But the result will be different. Think Personna Med Prep vs Feather. Some people like the aggressiveness of Feather blades, while I find them completely useless.

Bottom line, Revisoren come with accurately set bevels, and they come ready to shave. You can alter their edges, but I would fundamentally disagree with that being a requirement, or even a good idea.

I comment a little what happened to me with REVISOR:
the case is that I decide to buy a straight razor, everything went well until I got the straight razor... that's where I realized that I come with the scale a little scratched and said good ... but looking at the razor, not only he had the scratched scale that were completely off center and bent to that add that the blade came with a good scratch and nothing to shave(shave ready).

At this point I decide to comment a revisor who without putting a problem on me, tells me to send it to me and they change it ... that's what I do, in the course of all this they tell me that they do not have stock and that They give me back the money ... and I tell them it's okay. All that happens on May 22..... with the tracking number I get in which is delivered on the May 27 a revisor ... in this time I have asked and the truth that quite little interest by everything, and today tells me that the package not being delivered that goes back to my address with the serious problem that I have lost the time and money of the shipment.
Its excuse the address, which is totally set as much in the package as when certifying it.

I sent him a copy of the certificate and they themselves verified that everything was correct and now I get that excuse ... the truth that has left me much or enough to desire.

    Thanks for everything

    ¡Hola!

Under EU law, you are protected in any event. That said, and based on a lot of transactions I have had with Revisor, they will make good on their promise, you will get that razor, and you will not regret it.

For now I will cost the money of the shipment, since if I have been returned home for not having collected the package them there, and now I have to resend ....At least they have taken care to look at the certified document and tell me that the error is not mine.In what I do not agree is that they only reply to the mails once a day or if they are interested, thanks to this attitude the process can be extended months.I proposed that they send me the defective scales to replace them myself, but they have not wanted .... a bad experience with REVISOR.
