I have ordered both an Aust and a Revisor within the past month and did not find the ordering process cumbersome at all. The Revisor website is not maintained "real time" so some human interaction was required. My email contacts with both Sabine at Revisor and Ralf Aust were prompt and courteous. My correspondence with Herr Aust started on November 13 when I asked about the color of horn available, he had the razor in the mail on November 18 and it was in my hands in California on November 24. I prefer the edge on the Revisor after I ran it over my not yet crumbling Suehiro but it was by no means "bad" when it came to me - a preference. I am happily using Herr Aust's knife as it came from his hands.

Beautiful. Personally, I've had trouble getting replies from Revisor's website, which is why I bought an Aust, but they sure produce beautiful razors. My Aust was not perfect either. The Aust 7/8 I purchased has etching so light it is almost invisible and scales that are looser than the ones on 100 year old razors I own. Shaves well which is what counts I guess. Name: aust78.jpg

Beautiful choice. Once you've had a chance to use it, tell us about it.

This one is outstanding. It shaves so well that I'd put it up against any of my Japanese, Filly, or vintage German or Sheffields. I've said it time and again, if you're looking at new production razors you really need to be looking at Revisor.

Beautiful - of all the new production razors, Revisor is my favourite - congrats, that's a beauty!

My Revisor 6/8 with French head is a very fine shaver. At the correct angle it sings, as do most of my Solingens.

My newest to the stable a 6/8 square point Revisor "6-0049" model with red thermo scales and newsilver inlay. Love the simplicity of this razor and weight!
