I began shaving with a Dovo Bismarck straight about 5 years ago. It was the only razor I had until a few months ago when I got a 6/8 Wacker Red Head. The Bismarck has definitely treated me well these years but I'm likely to pass it along soon. Although it is a great razor I've begun a new love affair with Wacker razors.

I have 2 dovos in my rotation and I must say they shave better than any of my other razors. I bought them 8 years ago for
about $ 69.00 each. I have a $325.00 Thiers Issard and it dont hold a candle to the Dovos. One thing I have learned is
that just because its more expensive dont always make it better.milehiscott likes this.

I just received my Dovo Flowing 6/8 last week from SRD and love the shaves I'm getting. The textured tang and blackwood scales are nice features. The razor feels mighty comfortable to grip. So far I love it.

SR newbie and first straight is a Dovo Bismarck (black handle). Love it so much that I just ordered the white handle. So I'm waiting in anticipation. It will be my Yin/Yang pair.
It's a good life and someone has got to live it.
