Thanked: 0Due to the rudeness by many on here, I don't think I'll be coming back, I feel verbally assaulted, just for asking a simple question and being curious about getting a gift for my fiancé, thank you for the apology, and have a nice day, but I most likely won't be back, as the rudest comments weren't from standard members, but from staff members.

You can come back or not, it's up to you, however before judging the responses you received do consider the impression you created:
(1) You show up out of nowhere to tell us that a particular razor brand is high quality and we have unjustly put it on a do-not-buy list, probably because we simply got a fake one.
(2) You disclose that you work for a retailer selling said brand and therefore you have a conflict of interest.
(3) Nowhere did you state that you are actually looking for help selecting a razor and you are considering this brand because it is successful seller at your workplace.
So, despite of the 'rudeness' you actually were helped because of the vast experience and knowledge of the members and you are not going to spend $150 on a piece of junk. Imagine for a moment that every time a seller shows up to 'set the record straight' on a razor brand, we just welcome them politely and agree that they surely must know better than us.
People like you would be spending stupid money on junk gift for their fiancé who would have horrible experience and probably never realize what a proper straight shaving experience is.
If you had posted clearly that you are looking for clarification, instead of looking to provide one, the responses would've been a bit different. You still would've been steered away from those razor shaped objects, though.
Again, it is entirely up to you whether you want to come back or not - you can find a lot of the information you need to find elsewhere as it has been 'copied' from here even verbatim without any credit countless times. But you can also find a lot of junk information, so make sure you exercise good judgement when sorting out the good from the bad.

Thanked: 3164I knew my reply to your post appeared rude - I even apologised for it in my post! However, as others have said we get so many false-promoters here that it is pointless pussy-footing around, may as well cut right to the chase.
You must admit that you set a curious figure for yourself saying that you did not shave or hone - if you had stated you were contemplating getting the razor as a present then I am sure the outcome would have been different and the tone of the replies much more favourable to yourself.
As for not coming back - thats obvious. Why would you? You have had laser treatment so there is no need for you to shave, and if you don't shave why bother to learn to hone?
As for verbal assault - please! Verbal assault is that which puts one in fear of ones safety or well being - I don't see any of that here. To be honest I don't see anything offensive, either, but different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Have a nice weekend.
Regards,
Neil
Oh - I forgot to add that here are a slew of post on other forums about how bad the razor is, so it is more than one persons view.Last edited by Neil Miller; 06-05-2014 at 06:14 PM.

Thanked: 44The sad thing is that had you come here and said something along the lines of "I work in a knife shop were we sell Razolution razors and am thinking of buying my fiancé one as a gift. The problem is, I see they are on your do not buy list but the people who have bought them from our shop say they are re great. Is it possible you guys have it wrong?" I am sure you vwould have got a much "friendlier" responce.
I have just re read your original post and it sounds more like you are a vendor looking for this site to endorse the brand of razors you sell.
I personally have not been a member here for long but I have found the people here to be friendly and help full (which is rare on an Internet forum). In fact I see evidence time and time again that they go out of their way to help people, especially people new to straight razor shaving.
Recently a member here posted me a razor he made for me to try out. Now this chap does not know me from Adam but trusts me enough to do this. If that does not speak volumes about the type of people here then I don't know what does.
You have been very quick to label people here rude but I suggest that you take a good luck at yourself and ask yourself if it was not you yourself that was rude to begin with !
Having said that I wish you the best and hope you haven't wasted your money and instead took the advice from the people here and bought your fiancée a razor from the approved list and got it honed for him. It will be the difference between a present that lives in a draw to a present that will be used and enjoyed for many years.
