Thanked: 2Orville, when your razor finally does get ransomed, could you let me know if you happen to see any small areas of horizontal or diagonal abrasions on the blade surface? (The abrasions on mine are near the lower corners of the blade, and are only apparent at certain angles.) Mine is also a hydra, and was probably made in the same batch as yours.

1. Unique, one of a kind. These are limited production from a small shop.
2. Charlie Lewis comes to mind
Why? Just the truth in my opinion.
I to wish Scott well. I will stop posting here. I misread the title as Portland Razor update.

These are my two "Customs from PRC". They were limited production, one of a kind, from Scott's original Small Shop in Portland OR.
The first picture was taken by Scott from his workbench. He had just finished pinning the scales on my razor. He snapped a photo and sent it to me.
The 01 tool steel was cut, ground, and polished by hand. The scales were hand cut and finished by hand. I purchased the scale material and sent it to Scott for my personal razors.
So 32T, why are my two razors not considered Customs.Last edited by feltspanky; 06-12-2015 at 11:54 PM.

Thanked: 2Here's a close-up of one of the abrasions I noted on my blade -- it's not the sharpest shot, but I don't have a macro lens that's well-suited for this. These appear on the corners of the blade:
I'd appreciate honest feedback both on how abrasions like this could have appeared during manufacture, and whether I'm being too picky by expecting that a new blade not have visible imperfections like this.
