It's a relatively minor flaw but it should not have been sent to you like that. If it bothers you, and clearly it does, it would be reasonable to ask them to correct it or discount it enough to pay for you or someone else to fix it.

Honestly, I'm usually pretty easy to please. And if my post count here is a justification for dismissiveness and snark, then I'm not sure if there's a point in expanding this discussion.

Please accept my apologies; My comments were not meant as condescending. In the final analysis the decision to keep or return the razor for a refund will be your decision.

I had to prepay for my fish sandwich today. And my gas.

I'd appreciate honest feedback both on how abrasions like this could have appeared during manufacture, and whether I'm being too picky by expecting that a new blade not have visible imperfections like this.
I see what your saying Montanan! That is an obvious flaw to me! But I am just one man here giving an opinion. I would say anyone would agree. Maybe Scott & PRC will take care of this for you and make it a priority.

Why? Just the truth in my opinion.

I to wish Scott well. I will stop posting here. I misread the title as Portland Razor update.
I stopped posting here after this post.

I have been accused by feltspanky of running away from a fight...

If he or anyone else thinks that my input here would be welcome then I will continue.

I didn't think so so that is why I left.

I wonder if that happened with some sort of clamp as the result of being held in place for etching on the tang....I am assuming they grind and polish prior to laser etching their logos...the blade certainly needs to be held steady for that operation. Just a random thought after contemplating it for a bit....

Could be ... there are actually four of those abrasions on my blade, on the each of the corners nearest the edge.
